Diabolus, mecum semperterne! (roughly translated as The devil, always with me) consists of musicians who have played in some of the most important bands in the scene. On guitars/bass/synths is Tor-Helge Skei, better known as Cernunnus, the man behind Manes, Manii, and Syning; Kjell Rambech, K.R, of Whoredom Rife, Bloodthorn, and Parfaxitas fame, deals with the harsh vocals; Eskil Blix, or Azazil, a major force in Mare, Vemod, Dark Sonority, Djevel, Kaosritual, Castrum Doloris, Grenjar, Mørkekunst, contributes ‘clean’ vocals, and B. Kråbøl, of Misotheist, Enevelde, and Kråbøl provides the furious drum attack. 

Diabolus, Mecum Semperterne! was conceived by Skei and began morphing into a group effort when he reached out to K.R. with riffs and ideas that conjured the essence of the early ’90s, the ancient spirit of Trondheim, and overflow with timeless magic. Miraculously, the 9-song Diabolus, Mecum Semperterne! manages to stand apart from all created hitherto. Diabolus, Mecum Semperterne! easily equates to one of the greatest, darkest, and most unbearably frightening black metal albums of all time
