Left Hand Path' defined the ‘Swedish sound’ replicated by hundreds of other acts and came to represent the primal death metal sound that was to breakthrough into the mainstream in the early 1990’s. Entombed were the first extreme metal band to enter the charts in their native Sweden, before becoming an international success. Formed in the late 80's, Entombed were originally called Nihilist and had a huge reputation on the underground death metal scene. Total Metal Exhibition Edition Vinyl LP with poster.

The significance of the Swedish metal scene is widely recognized across the globe. What once began as an underground phenomenon has evolved into a global industry. Currently on display at Kulturhuset in Stockholm is the exhibition Total Metal, curated by journalist Ika Johannesson. The exhibition tells the story of how the extreme music scene grew from teenage bedrooms to major arenas. The exhibition opens with a short film by director Jonas Åkerlund, who delivers a five-minute, condensed history of Swedish metal.

Two albums considered highly influential in shaping the Swedish death metal scene are Slaughter of the Soul by At The Gates and Left Hand Path by Entombed—both released by the legendary British label Earache Records and distributed by Sound Pollution.

Now, two exclusive Total Metal Edition vinyl’s are being released, featuring a special Total Metal sticker designed by Erik Danielsson (Watain), a poster, and colored vinyl! Both editions are strictly limited to 500 copies!
